It reminds me of Araki with a SX-70

Pedro Rebelo Araki Style

Once again, not many words around it. The mood is not the best for that. The ones who know me better think that it it a strange thing, who am I and what have I done to Pedro? Not on the mood for a good chat?

Yeap, that’s true. Not on the mood. Sometimes… The silence…

Even so, this photo. I know, I know… It’s overexposed, almost burned… Yes, I know. It was not my intention, it was a kind of an accident but, I like it the way it is. No, let me be honest, I just love this photo.

I could say that it is because it reminds me of one of my favourite photographers, Nobuyoshi Araki and yes, it does reminds me of him, of his Polaroid photos, of all of his flowers and sexual innuendos. Maybe that’s the reason why. I do believe that it is not enough, that there’s gotta be another reason, one that I’m not seeing at the moment but maybe one day, maybe on certain glimpse of light, maybe with the right mood…

This photo was taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Sonar SE using  The Impossible Project Color Film for SX-70.
