Pedro Rebelo Garden Bench 07 with a Polaroid SX-70

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Gardens also known as The Gulbenkian Park is a green area of approximately 7,5 hectares, right in the middle of the city and chosen by many as Lisbon best park.

In there you can find not only the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation head office but also the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and a Modern Art Centre. In there you can also find some lakes and an open-air amphitheatre with a seating capacity for around 1,000 people.

As you can imagine, here is the right place for someone who’s looking for the right spot to be alone as well as to be with someone, almost on a communion state with nature, but surrounded by the urban caos.

You will not find many garden benches, at least in the traditional sense, although throughout the park you can see many spaces reserved to quietness, to rest.

This is one of the few benches that I can identify, or at least relate to the traditional ones.

The photo was taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Sonar SE, using The Impossible Project Color Film for SX-70 on a bright sunny afternoon.
